Compensating Rings & Thrust Rings for BearingsIn the construction of rotating machinery such as electric motors and other units, there is an ever an increasing need to reduce noise to the absolute minimum, particularly when these machines are used in offices, laboratories, hospitals, cinemas, private homes etc..
The main source of machinery noise is due to ball bearing track slackness, and if this tolerance is taken up by means of the LMKAS rings which exerts a pressure on the outer-ring bearing track against the balls, then it is possible to obtain a quieter running.
The use of the LMKAS rings have a further advantage that it is not necessary to use costly matched paired bearings, neither it is necessary to allow for close longitudinal shaft tolerances thus eliminating the use of fitting shims. With LMKAS rings, the shaft can freely expand due to temperature creep without damaging the bearings or their seats.
Knocking and vibration are very often the reason for bearing failures, LMKAS rings are employed as shock absorbers in a multitude of applications.
LMKAS rings have also been successfully mounted on machine tools such as rectifying heads, woodworking machinery, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic motors etc. [ Add to Enquiry Basket] [ View Enquiry Basket] [ Send Enquiry]
